About

The Gifted Guide is a collection of resources for gifted and advanced placement teachers working with all grade levels and specialties. I created this website to guide educators in meeting the needs of their gifted learners and to put all my knowledge about gifted curriculum and needs in one place. I hope you love it as much as I do!

About Me

Hi, I'm Sarah Young, creator of The Gifted Guide! I've been a gifted educator since 2012, working with students in grades K-12. When the pandemic hit, I launched The Gifted Guide as a passion project. It took off in a way I couldn't have imagined! As a result, I started working as a gifted education consultant. I've helped dozens of districts implement or improve their gifted programs, curriculum, and teacher trainings.

Let me know how I can help you!

I've had the opportunity to speak at several gifted conferences as well as lead gifted teacher training. I recently published the virtual companion piece to the PETS curriculum. I also teach the affective gifted needs course at Truman State University, in addition to teaching and consulting. I would love to work with your district to provide virtual gifted services, revamp curriculum, or lead professional development training.

Creating websites for gifted programs is one of the services I offer for the districts and teachers I work with. There are sections for parents, general education teachers, and students. It can be a great resource for differentiation, meeting social and emotional needs outside the gifted classroom, and dispelling myths surrounding gifted education.
